Michael Long joined Northpoint Legal as an experienced family law associate in 2025, after practicing both independently and as an associate at other firms in the Vancouver area.
Michael understands the significant, long-term personal and financial consequences that begin at separation. He works diligently to advance his clients’ matters efficiently while carefully considering the unique circumstances that set each client apart and the impact of recent developments in the law.
For each client, he strives to fully explore the strengths and weaknesses of each side’s case, anticipate the potential outcomes in a litigated resolution, and help his clients navigate toward the best possible outcome in their circumstances.
Michael has conducted trials at the Supreme Court and Provincial Court, appeared before the British Columbia Court of Appeal, and resolved countless matters through negotiation and mediation.
