Successful Trial Outcome in Debt Recovery Matter

Northpoint Legal LLP associate Robert Lo recently secured a successful trial outcome for our client in a claim for unpaid trucking services totaling $158,874.19 plus interest.

Acting for the plaintiff, Robert and his team established that the individual defendant was personally liable for the corporate debt under a written agreement containing a valid personal guarantee clause. The Court found our client to be credible and rejected several contractual defences raised by the defendant.

Judgment was awarded against the individual defendant for the full amount sought, enabling the plaintiff to pursue enforcement of the award.
